Planning Your Visit
A Message from Planning Circle
It is our intention that Festival of the Goddess be a place of spiritual retreat and sanctuary for women and maidens. A place to reflect, recharge and reconnect with like-minded women and have what’s needed to create the world we want our grandchildren to thrive in.
We would like the festival to be a place of spiritual safety for all women seeking a connection with the Goddess and the Divine Feminine. This includes a culture of respect and honor for women in recovery, be it from alcoholism, addiction or violence.
Of course, the Goddess is in all acts of love and beauty and some of us include the use of herbs and sacred wine in our spiritual practice, but everything has its season and its place. We hope women who need to imbibe will do so with the awareness that to do so is not a solitary act, but can impact the experience of the community as a whole. We ask that adult activities stay by the creek and not in the common areas of the pavilion, the Temples, the tea and coffee area and the firepit.
NO PHOTOS OF OTHERS ARE ALLOWED WITHOUT SPECIFIC PERMISSION FROM EACH INDIVIDUAL.
FESTIVAL OF THE GODDESS DOES NOT POST PICTURES ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
Community Agreements & Personal Responsibility

-
Respect boundaries of all womyn and maidens- particularly the use of adult behaviors, language, beverages, or drugs.
-
Take personal responsibility for your actions when interacting with each other, if concerns arise due to a situation please involve Festival of the Goddess crew to help resolve the issue.
-
NO DOGS will be allowed except legally recognized service dogs.
-
If you smoke, please dispose of ALL butts in a fire safe receptacle: tin, glass or soda can.
-
Smokers have designated areas that are allowed for smoking…the fire circle is one of those places. Please be aware and safe when there are dry conditions.
We follow Hays County Burn Bans.
If a Burn Ban is in effect there are NO OPEN FLAMES - this means you can cook on a camp stove ONLY.
Please note: It may be lifted by then, depending on the rain but plan for a ban. Campfires must be contained in a barrel or portable fire pit with mesh cover to prevent sparks. Cooking must be restricted to camp stoves. Water bucket or fire extinguisher must be accessible to all open fires

Mothers of Maidens
Each minor that you bring must have a waiver form signed by both parents/guardians! Please print this form out and bring it with you to the Festival!
Building Community & Gift Shifts
Everyone who is camping is asked to do at least one 2-3 hour gift shift to contribute to the smooth running of the Festival. You can sign up for a gift shift using the button below or there will be a sign-up sheet at the welcome table. Please make every effort to keep track of when your shift is. You are also encouraged to volunteer for tasks as they come up. Needed tasks will be announced over the PA system. The shift list is in the main pavilion.

Variety Show
The Variety Show is an annual event that occurs on Saturday Night! You and/or your maiden are invited to share to an enthusiastic audience. We have a sound system and excellent, talented women to make it an unforgettable experience. Bring your talent, and entertain your sisters, praise the Goddess, and have a blast. Remember your music if you plan to sing or dance!

Our Goddess community has MANY talented maidens and adults.
